Upton Park’s main focus is on Green Street, which is a little part of Asia that has been transported to England. It is here you can sample award winning food, buy designer clothes, lavish jewellery and shop for fresh produce in the local market. Be warned though, if you come around August 14th, there is a huge celebration to mark Pakistan’s Independence Day with a carnival taking the entire length of Green Street. Newham
An area made famous by West Ham United who take their name from this area. The club itself was captained for a while by Bobby Moore, famous for being part of  the squad that won England the world cup in 1966. Formerly a major manufacturing hub for pharmaceuticals, chemicals and processed food, it developed from the 1844 Metropolitan Building Act which forbade these industries to exist in the metropolitan area of London.
